Upcoming classes and Student’s successes

February 17, 2011

Things are going well in the studio in Feb. The intermediate students have made a couple of skirts, and a muslin. The next project will be a pair of pants, and a purse for these two. Another couple of intermediates may be returning for the final session which is in March. They have been working independently, outside of class, and have come up with some very cute work of their own. Here is a great little bib one of them made:

It’s very encouraging to see my students venture out on their own. Several have gone on to start their own businesses making custom-sewn products. I’m very proud of them.

Classes for March are as follows:

Beginning sewing:  Monday evenings   6:30-9:00     2/28, 3/7, 3/14,3/21

Intermediate sewing: Tuesday evenings 6:30 – 9:00     3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22

Thursday evenings – TBA based on demand (intermediate or beginner)     3/3, 3/11, 3/27, 3/24

Cost for a series of lessons (as posted) is $125 + materials fee of $15 = total of $140.00

Private lessons are also available. I am closing the studio for a year beginning 3/25. So if I can help you, we need to do it prior to that day/time. Remember, I can’t teach you everything you need to know in a single lesson, so we need to begin early enough to get several lessons in. I recommend 2 hour increments for your first 2-3 lessons, then we decrease to one hour. Fee is $40/hr. Weekday and Weekday evening lessons are available. I’m sorry, no weekend times are offered.

As usual, kids private lessons are offered also. There are a few after-school hours left for March.

See you in the studio!
