Holiday workshops and beginning sewing lessons

September 30, 2011

I’ll be back in town the week of 10/17 and will immediately begin offering lessons again. Lessons begin on 10/20 and classes will also. Daytime and evenings as well as Sunday afternoon instruction is available.

There are also a couple of holiday opportunities for learning to make holiday gifts. Students must have at least one series of beginning sewing classes, or a private lesson and approval for the workshop. Some sewing skills are needed. We will cover 3 projects in the 3.5 hour workshop. We will learn to sew neck warmers, hats and pillows. The objective is to learn these 3 items in class, so you can “crank out” gifts for friends. The finished results are usually very professional looking. You will find that hand-made hats, matching neck warmers and pillows are very affordable and cozy gifts for family members.

If you want something a little more indepth, take the beginning sewing class, and learn to make PJ pants. They are GREAT gifts for the holidays! Hope to see you in the studio!

Workshops are 12/3; 9-12:30 for adults

and 12/3  1:00 – 4:30 for  kids

There is also a kids holiday sewing class the week between Christmas and New Years Day. We will meet from 9 am – 12 noon. students needing full day classes need to let me know. I can work out a full day schedule, with a good break for lunch, so the kids don’t get worn out!

Hope to see you in the studio!
