Great Eight!

February 26, 2013

This is a wonderful group of students. Due to the delay in registrations that are mailed, I would up with 8 students, instead of the usual 6.  I spoke with the group about how it happened, the first night of class, and proceeded through with the first lesson hoping everyone would be OK. My only concern with a class that size is if there is even one student who requires a lot of personal attention, it would be difficult to meet the needs of the entire class.

As it turns out, the group is AWESOME. Every student works well on her own. As I requested the first night, everyone pays attention when I demo, so I don’t have to repeat the demo person-by-person. All projects will be completed in the session, and I believe all will be completed this coming Monday night, so we can do the zippered pillow as a second project the final week of class. I LOVE it! The pajama pants that we chose as a project this session are really cute and if I ever find the charger for my camera battery, you’ll see pictures of them before all is said and done.

Registration at the Chesterfield Hobby Lobby for the Beginner’s Sewing class that begins a week from tonight has been lethargic. Only one person has paid and registered. I’ve heard from 3 others, but they haven’t paid, which is what constitues registration. So….. there are openings in the Tuesday evening Beginners sewing class at the Chesterfield Hobby Lobby. Absolute beginners are welcome and all you need to do to register is to send your payment via Paypal. Include in the “notes” portion of the paypal payment form that it’s for the Chesterfield, Tuesday night class, and you’re in!

The folks at that Hobby Lobby are as wonderful and warm as at Short Pump and it’s a joy to feel like a part of that environment. Hope you will be joining us.
